JAMMU, Dec 13: 1st J&K State Cross Country Competition, organized by J&K Amateur Athletic Association concluded at MA Stadium, here today.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, while Naveen Arora was the guest of honour, who distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion.
Officials of the Association including SS Gill, Ramesh Sharma, Chander Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Chamail Singh, Vinod Bhatia and Ravinder Singh were present on the occasion.
In men’s 12 kilometers, Sunil Kumar of Jammu won gold, while Riyaz Ahmed of JKP and Imtiyaz Ahmed of JKP bagged silver and bronze medals respectively.
In Under-18 boys 6 kilometers, Abhinav of Jammu bagged gold, Akshay of Jammu clinched silver and Sahil of Jammu claimed bronze medal, while in open women 8 kilometers, Ravinder Kour won gold.
In Under-16 girls 2 kilometers, Shilpa Charak of Jammu won gold and Shivani of Jammu bagged silver, while in Under-16 boys 2 kilometers, Iftikar Ahmed of Poonch won silver, Aryaveer Singh of Jammu won silver and the bronze medal to Amarjeet of Jammu.
