JAMMU, Dec 31: The Bukido Association of J&K organized the 1st J&K UT Bukido Championship 2024 at Kotli Bhawan Hall, Rehari, Jammu. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 130 athletes representing five districts of Jammu and Kashmir, showcasing the region’s growing interest and talent in this dynamic martial art form.
The closing ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including chief guest, Arun Khanna, Chairman Health & Sanitation Committee, Jammu Municipal Corporation. The guests of honour included Gul-e-Surkhab, an International Ju-Jitsu player and Khel Ratna Award 2024 recipient, and Pankaj Dutta, National Powerlifting Coach and owner of Fitness Planet Gym. Jasleen Kour also attended as a special guest.
The championship aimed to promote Bukido Martial Arts across Jammu & Kashmir, inspiring young athletes to pursue this unique discipline. Arun Khanna praised the efforts of the Bukido Association and encouraged athletes to continue striving for excellence. Gul-e-Surkhab and Pankaj Dutta emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and physical fitness in martial arts training.
