JAMMU, Dec 19: Jammu BSF bagged overall Championship in the 1st SANDA Cup Wushu Championship-2013, organized by J&K Wushu Association, which concluded at Gulshan Ground, here today.
Samba clinched second spot, while Udhampur claimed the third position in the Championship.
The Championship, in which around 600 players drawn from almost all the districts of the State took part, was sponsored by J&K Police.
HK Lohia, Director SSG J&K and president J&K Wushu Association was the chief guest on occasion, while Ranjeet Kalra, vice president Wushu Association of J&K was the guest of honour.
Prominent among other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr Ashtosh Sharama, general secretary J&K Olympic Association; Deepak Handa, patron Wushu Association of J&K and Kuldeep Handoo, general secretary Wushu Association of India.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that organizing sports activities in the State is the need of the hour as Jammu and Kashmir is leaving no stone unturned in creating a space on the Country’s sports map.
