JAMMU, Aug 10: Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association (JKRA) is going to hold selection trials to pick the probables for the forthcoming XVIIIth Inter-School Shooting Championship and 1st Sportz Craft Air Weapons Shooting Championship to be held at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New Delhi from September 10 to September 16, 2014.
Both the competitions will be conducted concurrently by Sportz Craft Inc under the patronage of the National Rifle Association of India.
The selection trials for the J&K State shooters will be held under the supervision of Sudhir Kumar, general secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association at Delhi Public School, Shooting Range from August 11 to August 12, 2014 from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The selected shooters will under go month long Coaching Camp to be organized by the Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council DPS Shooting Range from August 13 to September 8, under the guidance of Rajesh Virdhy, National Rifle Association of India’s qualified shooting coach presently serving in the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
JKRA general secretary informed that in the XVIII Inter-School Shooting Championship, which will be held at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New Delhi from September 10 to September 16, 2014 and only those shooters, who are registered with the Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association are eligible to take part in the selection trials.
The Association has advised the shooters interested to take part in the trials to bring with them their identity cards issued by the JKRA or NRAI.
However, those who have not yet registered their names with the JKRA can fill the registration forms duly issued to them at the Shooting Range for registration.
It is for the information of all the shooters that the selection trials and coaching camp will be held in the 10 mtrs in .177 air pistol and .177 Air Rifle weapons.
