JAMMU, Apr 10: Police arrested two bootleggers along with 50 pouches of illicit liquor from holy town Katra.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a team from Katra police station led by SP Kulbir Singh conducted a raid and arrested two bootleggers while selling illicit liquor.
During checking of the Maruti car belonging to the bootleggers, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor.
The bootleggers have been identified as Raj Kumar, son of Om Parkash and Varun, son of Sham Lal, both residents of Katra.
A case under FIR number 83/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act and 188 RPC has been registered at Katra police station and investigation started.
