2-day National Science Conference begins at GDC Thannamandi

RAJOURI, Mar 19: Two-day National Science Conference began today at Government Degree College Thannamandi with a grand inaugural ceremony.
Prof Javed Mussarat, Vice Chancellor, BGSBU was chief guest on the occasion while   Principal of the   College, Prof Shakeel Ahmed Raina, presided over the function.  Col Rajeev Kaushik was the guest of honour, and Prof B A Mir was keynote speaker. During the programme, the Abstract Book of the conference was also released.
Prof Javed Mussarat talked about the importance of ethics in research and said that such conferences were a great way to come together and discuss innovations and ideas about recent developments in scholarly research.
Col Rajeev Kaushik also highlighted the importance of conducting such conferences and said that it is through these conferences that we can move forward.
Prof   B A Mir talked about the role of research in finding new domains and new vistas of knowledge.
Earlier, Principal of the College informed the audience about the theme and subjects of the conference. He also appraised the audience about Government Degree College Thannamandi and said that it was a great achievement for the college, which was started in 2005 in two rooms of Higher Secondary, to host two-day National Conference.
The two-day Science Conference, being attended over two hundred delegates from different parts of the country will be hosting serious discussions on latest trends and developments in scientific research. A symposium for students will also be part of the programme.
