Pulwama, Oct 3: Over 1500 players from 120 teams participated in a two days sports fest, ‘sports for peace and development’, which has been organized by the district administration in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.The event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar and Ssp Pulwama Chandan Kohli Ips.
Speaking on the occasion Dar encouraged the participants to give their best on the field and extended the refreshment rates from Rs 100- 120 per head.
Boys in the age group of 13-16 and 17-19 will compete in kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho, football, tens ball cricket, and tug of war.
While concluding the opening ceremony District Sports Officer Pulwama, Syed Noorul Haq said that such event should continue in the future.
