KATHUA, Mar 17: Special Operation Group (SOG) Jammu along with cops from Police Station Rajbagh arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 1930 bottles of banned syrup and 4220 intoxicant capsules.
As per police spokesman, the sleuths from SOG Jammu along with cops from Police Station Rajbagh laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK13C-8351.
During checking, the cops recovered 1930 bottles of banned syrup and 4220 intoxicant capsules from the truck and arrested two persons.
The arrested persons have been identified as Gian Singh, son of Mangal Singh of Rajwalta tehsil Billawar district Kathua and Mohan Lal, son of Bodh Raj of Danjashar tehsil Billawar, district Kathua.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh and investigation started.
The whole exercise was monitored by SSP SOG Jammu Sandeep Mehta and was carried out under the supervision of SSP Kathua Sridhar Patil.
