UDHAMPUR, May 22: Udhampur police today arrested two drug peddlers and seized a small quantity of heroin from their possession.
The accused, identified as Ranbir Singh alias Rambo, son of Jasbir Singh of ward number 5, Barrian Udhampur and Mohd Toufiq alias Raju, son of Lal Mohd of Chak Bakal Hartyaan Udhampur were roaming under suspicious circumstances on the National Highway near Modi Ground.
A Police patrolling party, led by SHO Udhampur, Inspector Chanchal Singh, under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Udhampur Sahil Mahajan, intercepted the duo. During checking, 15.5 grams of heroin along with cash of Rs 21,700/- was recovered from their possession.
In this connection, a case FIR number 165/2021, under section 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is going on.
