2 held with 15 tolas stolen gold ornaments

JAMMU, May 18: Satwari police cracked down the theft case with the arrest of two youth and recovery of stolen gold ornaments weighing 15 tolas.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Bittu of Narwal Pain, Satwari with Satwari police station that some unidentified thieves decamped with gold ornaments weighing 15 tolas from his residence.
During the course of investigation, police picked up two relatives of the complainant on suspicious grounds.
During questioning, duo broke down and confessed the crime.
The accused have been identified as Asif and Sahil, both residents of Narwal Pain, Satwari. On their disclosure,  police recovered 15 tolas of stolen gold ornaments.
The arrest was made by a police team headed by SHO Sohail Rashid under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh and SSP Jammu Atul Goel.
