SAMBA, Mar 23: Two persons were injured while a house was also damaged after the collapse of an Over Head Tank (OHT) at Zarda village in Chak Nazeer Panchayat in Ramgarh sector of Samba district today.
The local people showed strong resentment against the PHE Department for the lackadaisical attitude towards restructuring of the OHT which had been declared unsafe. They urged the former Minister to take up this matter with the concerned so that strict action against the erring officials is taken.
Soon after the unfortunate incident, the former Minister, Chander Prakash Ganga, immediately rushed to the village after hearing about the mishap to take stock of the situation and assess the losses.
Ganga paid cash assistance to the victim family and assured that he will take up the issue for appropriate compensation to the affected family for the loss caused due to this unfortunate incident.
The former Minister was also accompanied by Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent people.
