2 injured in cooker blast

JAMMU, Dec 30: Two workers of a hotel were injured today in a pressure cooker blast in the kitchen of the hotel at Talab Khatikan.
According to a police spokesperson, the workers identified as Irshad Ahmed (32) son of Bashir Ahmed and Muzaffer son of Mohd Iqbal, both residents of Mahore, received minor injuries when a pressure cooker blasted this afternoon in Bawa hotel, where they had been working for last many months.
Both the injured workers were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by the hotel management, from where Muzaffer was discharged after providing first aid while Irshad is still admitted. The condition of both the injured persons is stated to be stable.
The Peer Mitha police has taken cognizance of the matter.
