RAJOURI, Sept 15: Two persons were injured when a Scorpio vehicle met with an accident in Thannamandi area this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that the accident took place near Bego Nad, about 5 kms from Thannamandi on old Mughal Road. The ill-fated Scorpio vehicle, bearing registration No. JK03A/8722 was on its way to Rajouri from Srinagar. At a sharp curve the vehicle went out of control and rolled down.
Two persons on board, were injured in the mishap. The locals of the area rushed to the accident site and rescued them and informed police at Thannamandi. The police shifted them to CHC, Thannamandi from where, they were later referred to District Hospital, Rajouri. They have been identified as Wazir Hussain (35), son of Ghulam Mohammed, resident of Dudasan Balla, Rajouri and Rozia Kouser (25), wife of Khursheed Ahmed, resident of Has Parot, Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
