JAMMU, July 24: The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved induction of two senior IAS officers of Jammu and Kashmir cadre as Additional Secretaries to the Government of India.
According to an official order, Pradip Kumar Tripathi, Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, has been inducted as Additional Secretary and posted in the same Department. Tripathi is an IAS officer of 1987 batch of Jammu and Kashmir cadre.
Arun Kumar Mehta, an IAS officer of 1988 batch of Jammu and Kashmir cadre, presently posted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, has been elevated as Additional Secretary and retained in the same Department.
