KATRA, June 8: Two persons died and five others were injured when a rashly driven minibus, on way from Katra, met with an accident at Chak Bhagta near Mata Vaishno Devi University, here this evening.
The minibus, bearing registration number JK02AC-0947, was on way from Katra to Kakryal when it turned turtle near Chak-Bhagta due to rash driving. Two persons died on the spot while the injured have been shifted to District Hospital Katra.
The deceased were identified as Prabhu Dayal (60), son of Jagat Ram of Manoon Katra and Anil (17), son of Mohan Lal of Chak -Bhagta.
The injured, admitted in the hospital were identified as Madan Lal (38), son of Munshi Ram of Kakryal, Ravi Kumar (24), son of Punnu Ram of Chak Bhagta, Pawan Kumar (34), son of Moti Ram of Chak Bhagta, Mohd Salem (38), son of Kareem Bakash of Chak Bhagta and Pawan Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Sool
Driver of the minibus fled the scene after the accident.
