2 killed in Pahalgam mishap

SRINAGAR, July 30: Police today said that two persons including a minor girl were killed and two others injured after a tree fell on a vehicle they were travelling in at Betab Valley in Pahalgam tourist resort of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said that a tree fell on an Eon vehicle bearing registration number JK01W-8167 at Betab Valley in Pahalgam, resulting in death of two persons identified as Uzma Hamid, 12, Hilal Ahmad Bhat and injuries to Imtiyaz Ahmad Jalla and Fazil Yousuf.
“Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
