KULGAM, Dec 23: Two medical shops operating near the main market in Kulgam town were closed down by Drug Control Authorities for not maintaining proper sale records of Scheduled H1 Drugs and on absence of a registered pharmacist at their premises.
The officers informed that from the last few months intensive drives are continuously going on under the guidance of Divisional and District administration across the length and breadth of the district and during inspections carried out in Katrasoo, Yaripora, D.H.Pora, Frisal and Quimoh, almost 12 other medicates found violating conditions of licenses and other rules were either show caused or licenses were also suspended.
There is a strict message from Drug regulatory authorities to observe the conditions and rules of Drugs and Cosmetics Act wrt safe dispensing practices and maintenance of sale/purchase records of Scheduled and habit forming drugs.
