MENDHAR, Nov 11: Around 1500 souls of two Panchayat halqas Noral and Banda in tehsil Mendhar are without drinking water supply as Pumping Station at Chhatral is lying out of order for the last one week.
According to the locals, electric motor of this Pumping Station was damaged after getting burnt. Since then, the entire area is without supply of drinking water but no step has been taken by the PHE authorities to get damaged motor repaired for making the Pumping Station functional, said Mushtaq and urged the PHE Minister to take cognizance of laxity on part of the concerned authorities.
