MENDHAR, Mar 28: Seven persons including two Government teachers have been booked by police in connection with the attack on a Village Level Worker (VLW) of RDD at Mankote today.
Official sources said that VLW Kulwant Singh, posted in Mankote area was allegedly beaten up by some people at a public place in Mankote town over a petty issue. He reported the matter to his officer BDO and later lodged a case FIR No. 35/ 2016 against two teachers Tahir Ahmed and Mohd Nassir, residents of Mankote and five others. The police was looking for the accused persons who are absconding.
