UDHAMPUR, Aug 25: Udhampur Police today seized two vehicles involved in illegal transportation of construction material under the jurisdiction of Police Post Tikri.
A Police team, headed by IC PP Tikri PSI Abdul Satar and assisted by Insp Rajesh Sharma, SHO PS Rehambal, seized two tippers having registration number. JK14B-7139 and JK20- 4733 indulged in illegal extraction/ transporting of construction material from river bed.
Both the seized vehicles were immediately handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department Udhampur for further legal proceedings.
While giving the details, SSP Udhampur, Dr Viond Kumar conveyed that Udhampur Police was committed for protecting the public property and to eradicate the menace of illegal mining from the area.
