KATHUA, Dec 3: The 20th Annual Awards of Lala Kanhaiya Shah (Laksh) Educational Trust were presented at a function held in the Govt Hr Secondary School Mahanpur.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua was the chief guest, while Principal GDC Kathua, Dr Janak Singh was the guest of honour. Ashok Kumar Principal GHSS Kathua was the special guest, while KC Gupta, Chairman of the Trust presided over the function.
The coveted ‘Uttan Vidyarthi Award’ of Rs 10,000 was received by Tanmay Mahajan by standing first in matriculation examination. Of JK BOSE. Chakit Verma of GHSS and Shabbu Bharti of Girls Middle School Mahanpur bagged Laksh and Achhri Devi Merit Scholarships respectively. Pallvi Gupta won Special Award for being 12th Class topper.
Many other awards were presented on the occasion.
Earlier, Dr JL Gupta, Managing Trustee presented welcome address, while the proceedings of the programme were conducted by Naresh Kumar, Senior Lecturer and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ashok Gupta, Secretary of the Managing Trust.
