JAMMU, Dec 16: The Wrestling Association of J&K selected 20 wrestlers and one official to represent J&K UT Wrestling team in the upcoming Senior National Wrestling Championship, scheduled to be held at Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) from December 21 to 23.
The team was selected after the screening conducted by Screening Committee of J&K Sports Council under the overall supervision of Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer (J) in the presence of Satish Gupta, SP Singh Manager Indoor Stadium, Jai Bharat Secretary General, Om Parkash Treasurer Wrestling Association of J&K and other office bearers of the Council and Association.
Basudev Sharma, President Wrestling Association of J&K in his message gave his best wishes to the participating team and also expressed his gratitude to J&K Sports Council for their coordination with Associations for the promotion and development of sports.
Team: (Free Style): Anil Singh, Rohit Singh, Jarnail Singh, Subash Singh, Saleeem, Mohd. Hafiz, Abdul Rashid, Bania Min andIshaq Ahmed.
In Greeco Roman Style: Rajinder Singh, Rahul Mehra, Harsh Dev Singh, Sahil Dagoria, Nadeem Ahmed (Doda) and Salinder Singh, while women wrestlers were Upasana Singh, Muskan Rajput, Sonia Sharma and Sunakshi.
