SRINAGAR, June 8: Government today said a huge chunk of State land measuring over 20,000 kanals is under unauthorized occupation in Akhnoor.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Rajeev Sharma in Lower House, the Minister Incharge Revenue said in Akhnoor constituency out of total State land measuring 152625 kanals and one marlas, an area measuring 20776 kanals 3 marlas is under unauthorised occupation and the remaining State land measuring 131849 kanals and 08 marlas is free from encroachment.
