SRINAGAR, May 8: 21-member Sqay Martial Art squad of Jammu and Kashmir has been selected for National Referee Seminar/Training Camp/ Orientation Programme, being held at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Margao, Goa from May 12 to May 16, 2023 being organized by Sqay Association of Goa under the auspices of Sqay Martial Art Federation of India, the National Governing body for the promotion & Development of Sqay Martial Art.
Sqay Association of Jammu & Kashmir has already finalized the Calendar of Activities for the year 2023-24 at Club, District & UT level in J&K.
The Trainers participating in the National Technical Course are as under:
MEN: Arif Hussain, Adil Ahmad, Haris Shafi, Sajad Ahmad, Javed Khan, Sudhir Chib, Tahir Shah, Jibran Dar, Shazad Khan, Amit Kumar, Umer
WOMEN: Shabnam Jan, Rabia Akhter, Razia Altaf, Shaista Nabi, Shagufta Wani, Asiya Khan, Qurat Bashir, Aiman Hassan, Seerat Mir, Rifat Jan
The Trainers being accompanied by Umer Akbar, Technical Director Sqay Association of Jammu & Kashmir as contingent head will leave J&K tomorrow.
The team will leave under the banner of Sqay Association of Jammu & Kashmir, sponsored by Navyug Industries Pvt.Ltd.
“We have also requested Sqay Martial Art Federation of India for the allotment of Sub-Junior National Sqay Martial Art Championship to J&K and we are hopeful that National body will allot us the Nationals,” said Adv Zubair Hamid, President Sqay Association of Jammu and Kashmir.
