21st Annual Sports Meet concludes at Dogra College of Education

JAMMU, May 13: On the concluding day of Annual Sports Meet, the valedictory function was held at Dogra College of Education. During the week long meet various Sports events were organized.
In the Sack Race for Boys, Basil stood first while Aakash and Rakesh Kumar stood second and third respectively. In the three leg race for girls, Poonam and Neeru  bagged the gold medals, Sheetal and Rohi got the Silver while Bandhana Choudhary and Shabnum had to stay for the Bronze. In the One Leg Race for Boys, Basil stood first while Arjun and Rakesh Kumar remained at second and third spots respectively. In the Matka Race for girls Samita Sharma bagged the gold while Shabnum and Gurpreet Kour chinched silver and bronze medals respectively. In the Crocodile Race for Boys, Aakash and Arjun stood first, Rakesh and Sohan Singh claimed second place while Harikesh and Dinesh stood Third.
In the Shot put throw for Boys, Aakash bagged the gold medal while Sohan Singh  and Arunesh Kumar  claimed the silver and bronze medals respectively. In the High Jump for Boys, Ankush stood first, Sohan Singh  stood second and Prakash Chand  remained at the third spot. In the Long Jump for Boys, Ankush clinched the gold while Arjun Kumar  and Sohan Singh  had to stay for silver and bronze respectively. In the 100 mt Race for Boys, Ankush  stood first, Basil  stood second while Arjun Kumar  had to remain at the third position.In the shot put throw for girls, Samita Sharma  bagged the gold while  Shivani  got the silver and Rohi had to stay for the bronze.
In the long jump for Girls, Priya Salaria  bagged the gold medal while Samita Sharma  and Lalita Devi  had to stay for the silver and bronze medals respectively. In the 100mt Race for girls, Poonam Choudhary  bagged the gold while Dilpreet Kour  and Nancy  had to stay for silver and bronze medals respectively. In the Javelin throw for Men, Rakesh Kumar stood first while Aakash and Basil stood second and third respectively.
In the Javelin throw for Women, Pooja stood first while Samita Sharma and Alka stood second and third respectively. In the chess match for women, Monika was declared winner while Esha was declared as runner up and in the chess match for Men, Aakash was declared winner and Aankush stayed as runner up.
In the Badminton match, in girls Singles Anju Bala was declared winner and Samriti Slathia stayed for the Runners up. In the Badminton Singles for Boys Aakash clinched the title and Ankush was declared as Runner up.
In the Indoor Matches, In the Table tennis Singles for Boys Aakash was declared winner Ankush was declared as runner up. In the Table Tennis Singles for girls Pallavi was declared as winner while Sumita was declared as runner up.
In the Kho Kho match Team Samita Dare Devils headed by Capt Samita Sharma beat Shabnum Warriors to clinch the title while In the Inter-Section Tug of War Match for Girls Tawi House headed by Capt Bandhana beat Ganga House headed by Capt. Shilpa to clinch the title.
All the activities were under taken under the able guidance of S Harsimran Singh, Sports Officer, Sumer Singh Sambyal, Convenor Sports Committee and Shamsher Singh, Member Sports Committee.
