UDHAMPUR, Mar 29: Three days Senior State Kabaddi Championship for Men and Women got underway at Subash Stadium, here today.
The Championship is being organized by Udhampur District Amateur Kabaddi Association under the banner of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association.
Dr Piyush Singla, District Development Commissioner Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion, who declared the Championship open in a well attended function.
The chief guest lavished praise on the organisers for smooth and successful conduct of the tournament.
Rajiv Pandey, Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur was the guest of honour and Gurwinder Jeet Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner were the special guests on this occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rohit Gupta, DySP Headquarter, Vijay Choudhary SHO Udhampur, Isha Mahajan I/C Women Cell, Kharati Lal Sharma, DYSSO Udhampur, Kuldeep Gupta CEO J&K Kabaddi Association, Surinder Mohan Gupta, General Secretary of the Association, Sangram Singh, Treasurer, besides Ankush Chib and Rakesh Kumar.
Ravi Malguria, President Chamber of Commerce; Sanjeev Sharma, President Beopar Mandal, Raj Guru, Vikram Singh Salathia, Suresh Khajuria, Ravi Singh, Saktish Chopra, Roshan Lal and Dr Vikram Gulati were also present on the occasion.
The tournament is being organized under the patronage of Anil Gupta, President J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association and under the Chairmanship of Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed, President Udhampur District Kabaddi Association and supervision of Ashok Kumar Sharma General Secretary Udhampur District Kabaddi Association.
