JAMMU, Jan 31: District Jammu Taekwondo Association today organized 22nd District Jammu Taekwondo championships 2019-20 under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association at Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha Parade, here.
Rouf Ahmed Bhat, a prominent sports promoter was the chief guest.
During his speech, he encouraged participants for the best result and congratulated all the winners, parents of the players and association members.
500 players and officials from all over the district Jammu were taking part in this mega event. Players who took part in the event are eligible to participate in the forthcoming Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Taekwondo Championship.
Founder, Mir Nazir Ahmed and Secretary General, Sqay Martial Art was the guest of honour of the closing ceremony along with Dinesh Singh, Observer SGFI, Vikas Gupta, General Secretary of Judo Association of J&K and BS Jamwal, Retd DC.
Subash Shastri, President NMC and Secretary Qwan ki Do Association of J&K presided over the function.
Special Guest were Ramesh Chander Sharma , Joint Secretary JKTA, Ankush Sharma, executive member JKTA, Varinder Sharma Judo coach, Muzamail Dar, International Ski coach, Saleem Pathan, International Referee Sqay, Sanjeet Sharma, Vikrant Narwalia, VIkas Sharma, Gayoor Ul Iqbal,Mitan Sharma and Irfan Angrez.
The championship was organised under the chairmanship of DN Pangotra, President JKTA, Anuj Sharma, Organizing Secretary and Gurinder Rakwal Convenor and Anchal Sharma, Coordinator of the championship
The technical team headed by Mohd Ali, Pankaj Kumar, Arvind Satti, Burhan Ud Din Khan, Farzana Batool, Tarun Sharma, Shehnaz Parveen, Sonam Chospal, Narinder Sharma and Rahul Sharma.
