JAMMU, Mar 28: The 24th J&K Taekwondo Championship, organised by Taekwondo Association of J&K, concluded at JKSC Indoor Sports Complex, Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
The event was fully observed by Master Atul Pangotra (International Coach/Referee) as the Technical Director. Nuzhat Gul (Secretary Sports Council) was the chief guest of the closing ceremony.While speaking on the occasion she congratulated all the participants/organizers and assured all possible help to promote the Taekwondo game in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, while Ranjit Karala, member managing committee, Sports Authority of India, J&K and Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee/ India Wushu Team Coach) were among the guests of honour.
Ashok Singh (Divisional Sports Office JKSC), Satish Gupta Manager, Subash Shastri (President NMSC), Ramesh Chander Sharma, Vikas Dogra, Subodh Basin, Tarun Sharma, Dr Kanav Mahajan, Sudeer Pandotra, Gurinder Rakwal and Pankaj Kumar were the special guests of the event.
The event was convened by Syed Ashaq Hussain wherein active participation awards went to Budgam, Barmulla and Bandipora, while best sportsmen spirit awards were secured by Doda, Ramban and Reasi.
Jammu district emerged winners, while Srinagar and Udhampur stood 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.
