25 Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims injured in road mishap

KATHUA, Oct 1: Twenty five Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims were injured two of them seriously after their bus bearing registration number NK 533 hit a petrol tanker bearing number JK02 AF 6246 which was parked at National Highway near Baggal 10 kms from here early this morning.
Out of 25, two seriously injured pilgrims identified as Mira Devi, wife of Sham Kumar of Patna Bihar and Mohinder Singh of Nepal were shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment while others were discharged after given first aid at DH Kathua. The Kathua police has registered a case under Section 279/337 against the driver of the bus who fled from the spot.
The pilgrims after performing darshan at holy shrine were on their way to Nepal via Bihar. The pilgrims were kept Shani Mandir Palli after getting first aid in DH Kathua.
