2600 perform ‘darshan’ at Budha Amarnath

POONCH, Aug 20: While thousands of pilgrims performed ‘darshan’ at Shri Budha Amarnathji shrine at Mandi yesterday nearly 2600 more pilgrims arrived today and performed ‘Puja’ at the shrine.
An official spokesman said that Charri Mubarak reached at the shrine last evening and many pilgrims were still there and will have darshan tomorrow on the day of Raksha Bandhan. About 1400 pilgrims in 19 buses and 13 other vehicles arrived at Poonch today. They have been accommodated at various ‘Sarais’ and Government buildings. A large number locals from Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar and adjoining areas have also performed darshan at the shrine.
Six langars, round the clock are functioning at  Mandi town while several others were being run at Poonch and other places. Army has also arranged Langar for the pilgrims at the shrine.  ‘Charri Mubarak’ will return to Akhara Mandir, Poonch on Thursday.
