JAMMU, Nov 17: Police today booked 265 defaulters under provision of Motor Vehicle Act.
As per official spokesman, on the directions of SP City Dr Vinod Kumar, a special drive against Motor Vehicle Act violators was launched in City North Zone, Jammu wherein 265 numbers of defaulters were booked under various provisions of Motor Vehicle Act.
The defaulters were counseled regarding traffic rules and safety measures and were appealed to adhere to the traffic norms so as to ensure safety of the people, besides management of traffic congestion.
SHOs and Incharge Police Posts various Police Stations under Police North Zone viz Pacca Danga, Peer Mitha, City, Bus-Stand, Bakshi Nagar, Nowabad and Janipur Police Stations were part of the drive under the supervision of Rajpal Singh, DySP Headquarters, Jammu, Pranav Mahajan, SDPO City West and Varun Jandial, SDPO City.
