UDHAMPUR, Oct 23: The 3-day District Open Table Tennis Championship, organized by the District Table Tennis Association Udhampur under the auspices of the J&K Table Tennis Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, concluded here today.
The closing ceremony was graced by MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, who served as the chief guest, emphasizing the vital role of sports in fostering a disciplined and healthy society. Vishal Sadotra, CEO of the Municipal Council Udhampur, attended as the guest of honour, while Ajay Sharma, Senior Vice President of JKTTA, and Vasu Dewan, Joint Secretary of JKTTA, also lent their support to the event.
In a commendable gesture, MLA Mankotia donated a brand new table tennis table to the district association, aiming to enhance training facilities for local players. The event featured thrilling matches and impressive performances, leaving a lasting impression on players and spectators alike. Tarun, General Secretary of the District Table Tennis Association, expressed gratitude to all participants.
Prizes were awarded to the winners, with notable attendees including K.G. Sharma (Chairman), Vinod Baru (President), Jitendra Vermani (President Beopar Mandal Udhampur), Rahul Magotra (General Secretary Beopar Mandal), Akash Sharma, Prikshit Khajuria, Ankit Sharma Coach TT, Sunny Sharma, Achat Magotra, Akhil Bandral, Sunny Sadotra, Sahil Malgotra, Maninder Manhas, Aashish Atri, Sumit Slathia, Sukesh, Yashpaul Mansotra among others.
