JAMMU, Aug 31: The 26th J&K Union Territory Senior Taekwondo Championships 2023-24 (Kyorugi / Poomsae / Para) organised by J&K Taekwondo Association concluded at Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha Parade here today.
The District Jammu team emerged victorious in the championship while the 2nd Runner Up trophy was won by District Srinagar. World Para Taekwondo Champion Chandeep Singh was appointed as the observer by J&K Taekwondo Association for the event.
Chief guest, Subash Shastri, President NMSC appreciated the organisers, J&K Taekwondo Association and participants for taking part in the championships.
The event was designed for the selection of upcoming 39th National Senior Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships 2023 and 12th National Senior Poomsae Taekwondo Championships 2023 from 9th to 11th September 2023 at Karambir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi A.C. Indoor Stadium, Sarusajai Sports Complex, Sarusajai, Guwahati, Assam.
The selection and technical team, who displayed the fair-play decisions throughout the Championship, was led by Harish Tokas. The referees were Vinod Garewal, Brinder Singh Manhas, Shanaz Parveen, Nitish Anad, Narainder Sharma and Vipan Kumar.
