JAMMU, Feb 26: District Police Jammu has launched a special drive against traffic rules violators.
During traffic drive the moving violations like speeding, jumping the traffic signal and drunken driving as well as non moving violations like wrong parking, faulty equipment, modified silencers etc. where challaned and vehicles were seized.
During first 3 days, 674 vehicles have been seized and 2775 vehicles challaned by the police for violation of the traffic rules.
“We solicit thanks to the public who have shown their co-operation to the police during their initiative. We also appeal all to follow the traffic rules, so that there is no inconvenience to the public at large”, SSP Sridhar Patil said.
