27th District Jammu Taekwondo C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Nov 17: The 27th District Jammu Taekwondo Championship 2024-25 concluded at the Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, here today, with over 250 athletes participating from various schools and clubs in district Jammu.
The competition spanned across four categories: Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior, and Senior divisions, with fierce battles on display as athletes showcased their skills in this prestigious event.
Organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Jammu, under the patronage of the J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council (JKSC), the championship offered a platform for local talent to shine. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Vikas Gupta, Vice President of the Judo Federation of India, who attended as the chief guest. Ritika Salathia, Subash Shastri, and other dignitaries were also present at the closing ceremony.
Atul International Taekwondo Academy (AITA Channi) emerged as the winners, with Jammu Sanskriti School securing the runners-up position and KV Nagrota finishing as second runners-up. Special awards were presented for Best Sportsmanship to Delhi Global Public School and Blind School, Roop Nagar, while Shishu Mandir Public School and Vivekanand Public Higher Secondary School were recognized for active participation.
