JAMMU, Feb 12: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ajeet Sahu has constituted a squad to check the misuse of subsidized domestic LPG cylinders at commercial establishments.
The squad conducted inspection of more than 50 establishments in Gangyal, Kunjwani & Trikuta Nagar areas dealing with dhabas, canteens, teastalls, marriage halls, restaurants, sweet sellers & other establishments dealing with food preparations.
The team of officers comprising of Joint Controller, Deputy Controller (consumer protection), Inspector Legal Metrology, Asstt Director CAPD, Sr Sales officer, Sales Officer of Indian Oil Corporation, SHO Gangyal and police officials from Trikuta Nagar police station found 12 establishments in Gangyal & 3 establishments in Trikuta Nagar using subsidized LPG cylinders in their establishments & 28 cylinders were lifted & handed over IOC for safe custody at the LPG plant at Bari Brahmana.
