28th Chhari yatra taken to holy shrines of Purmandal

JAMMU, Mar 31: The “28th Holy Chhari yatra” was taken to historic religious shrines of Purmandal after performing Pooja at Shri Ranbireshwar Ji Mandir and Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir Jammu by the representatives of Purmandal and Utterbeni Shrines Development Committees and Dharamarth Trust, J&K.
Thereafter the holy Chharis were taken to Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu by Mahatmas and renowned Pujaris led by Mahant Rishiban Ji, where grand Pooja was performed which was attended by Th.Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and president Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar Jammu and chairman Purmandal/ Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, Ajay Gandotra, president Dharamarth Trust, Jammu and a large number of devotees and saints.
Later the holy Chharis were taken to Purmandal in a profusely decorated Rath via Shri Mahadev Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Shiv Mandir Trikukta Nagar, Shiv Mandir Greater Kailash, Data Ranpat Dev Ji and Shri Narsingh Dev Ji Mandirs’ Birpur, Kharah Madana, Mandal and other places enroute.
A befitting reception was given by the large number of people of all shades. Special reception to the holy Chharis was organized at Kharah Madana, Mandal,etc under the leadership of Haji Bashir Ahmed, Kulbir Singh, Surjeet Singh and prominent Moulvis of the area.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak while addressing the people explained the importance of these historical shrines and about the holy Chhari yatra which was started 28 years back. He also urged the Government and Dharamarth Trust to start all round development of these holy places on war footing.
Ajay Gandotra president Dharamarth Trust complimented the members of all organizations participating in the event for their full support for making the same a grand success. He further stated that Dharamarth Trust under the guidance of Dr. Karan Singh the Sole Trustee has already started various development activities at these Shrines. He said district administration Samba specially Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta and her team has taken keen interest in development of these historical shrines.
Prominent among others who expressed their views on the occasion were Manhant Rishiban Ji, Darshan Kumar, Chander Shrkher and others.
