JAMMU, Oct 25: The 29th Jammu District Billiards & Snooker Championship organized by The Billiards & Snooker Association J&K under the auspices of J&K Sports Council commenced here today.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Baljinder Pal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council, along with key figures including Kuldeep Sharma, General Secretary, Ishuk Chowdhary, Organizing Secretary, Ishan Chowdhary, Akash Talwar, and Anil Vadera, Senior Boxing Coach and Indoor Stadium Manager.
The championship received an overwhelming response, with hundreds of players registering across Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior categories. The tournament kicked off with exciting matches in the Sub-Junior category, featuring competitive performances from young talents. Hardik triumphed over Samarveer with scores of 49-31 and 32-18, while Devyansh Abrol secured victory against Tanmay Kapoor, winning 50-41 and 42-30. In the junior category, Sudhanshu showcased his skills by defeating Samarveer decisively with scores of 46-16 and 64-14.
