2nd group of MHAC School trekkers leaves for Moungri

JAMMU, June 13: Second group of trekkers of MHAC School, Nagbani comprising of 47 students including 13 girls left today for Moungri  to participate in the ongoing J&K Himalayan Trekking Programme, being organised by Tawi Trekkers J&K.
Four teachers of the school including M L Dogra, Anju Mahajan, Shiv Dutt and Tannu Jain are accompanying the group alongwith Shashikant of Tawi Trekkers J&K.
It is the 5th group of Tawi Trekkers J&K for the Himalayan Trekking Programme in which about 200 students have participated so far.
Meanwhile, group of trekkers of Shiksha Niketan Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar reached back after a thrilling experience of trekking and rock climbing for three days under the overall supervision of Everester Ram Singh Slathia, Director of the J&K Himalayan Trekking Programme.
The trekkers were welcomed back in the school premises by Romeshwar Mengi, Chairman and teachers of the school with whom the students shared their unforgettable experience.
Since the weather at Moungri had turned cold due to showers it was absolutely a new and pleasant experience for the budding trekkers to sleep with heavy blankets at this time of the summer.
