JAMMU, Oct 19: The 2nd J&K UT Sambo Championship was organized by the Sambo Association of J&K, affiliated with the J&K Olympic Association and Sambo India Association, at the Indoor Sports Complex in Bhagwati Nagar. The event saw participation from around 175 students across various districts.
Rajesh Dutta, Secretary General of the Body Builders Association of J&K and Executive Board member of the J&K Olympic Association, graced the occasion as the chief guest, distributing medals to the winners and commending all participants. Brijesh Bhau, Vice President of the Sambo India Association, attended as the guest of honour, alongside Ritika Jamwal, Manager of the Sports Complex, and Shihan Narash Chander, President of the Traditional Karate Association of J&K.
The championship was conducted under the supervision of National Qualified Referee Gopal Dass and a team of technical officials. The overall Championship Trophy was awarded to Army Public School Ratnuchak, Jammu.
