Jammu , Jan 16 : Second New Year Veteran T20 Championship will begin tomorrow at Parade ground, here in which the Senior Cricketers who are above 40 years of age will participate.
The tournament for senior cricketers is jointly being organized by J&K Police and Aircel with the objective to provide the platform to the senior cricketers just to have some recreational activities and to celebrate the new year through T20 Cricket.
The opening match will be played between the ICC Jammu and Aircel Cricket XI.Six teams will be the participating teams in this championship and most of the former Ranji Players of the State are expected to take part in the said event.
Ashok Gupta retired IGP Jammu has consented to be the chief guest on the inaugural function of Championship, Jasvinder Singh from Aircel will preside over the function and Ashok Sharma SSP PCR Jammu will be the guest of Honour informed by Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player and Organizing Secretary of the Championship.
