UDHAMPUR, Aug 16: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling, Police today rescued three animals that were tightly packed inside a Tata Load Carrier. Police also arrested two accused smugglers and seized the vehicle, which was on way to Kashmir.
The Tata Load Carrier, without registration number, was intercepted by a Police Party from Rehambal during a surprise naka on the national Highway at Flata. During thorough search, the vehicle was found carrying three bovine animals that were being smuggled to Kashmir. Police also arrested the two bovine smugglers, namely Roshan of Rakh Brota and Nur Alam of Talwara.
In this connection, a case Under Section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
