3 bovines rescued, 2 arrested

JAMMU, Nov 4: Police rescued 3 bovine animals and arrested two persons from Juthal Galla area, falling under the jurisdiction of Chowki Choura police post.
As per police sources, police team from Chowki Choura police station laid a naka at Juthal Galla area and intercepted two persons carrying bovines.
During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory reply and were arrested by the police. From their possession, police rescued 3 bovine animals, which they were smuggling to Rajouri from Jammu.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Lateef, son of Mohammad Ismile and Sikander Ali, son of Ali Mohammad, both residents of Marchola, tehsil Sunderbani, district Rajouri.
A case under FIR Number 203/15 under Section 188 RPC has been registered against the bovine smugglers at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Chowki Choura police post SI Kuldeep Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor police station Inspector Pushpinder Singh, SDPO Akhoor Naresh Singh, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
