3-day Science Conference concludes

POONCH, June 26: 3-day long Science Conference organized by Star Club Social Welfare Society at Sir Syed Memorial Convent School concluded today.
In the conference, students of border area particularly residing near Line of Control (LoC) participated and came to know about innovative science gadgets used in daily life.
After Leh, Star Club Social Welfare Society organized three day science conference at Surankote of Poonch district.
To aware students of border area about science gadgets, resource person from ITI Poonch gave detailed representation about latest inventions.
Students also participated in essay writing, debate, drawing, science quiz and other competitions during science conference.
Tariq Khan, Director, Star Club Social Welfare Society said that their motto is to make students aware about science and technology. The Society has decided to organized interaction programme of face to face talks with students and scientists. By these programmes students can ask queries to scientists and improve their knowledge about science and technology.
Imtiyaz Ahmed, Chairman of Sir Syed Memoral Convent School said that the students of border and remote areas are not much aware about new inventions and technology. These programs can help and encourage them in the field of science and technology, he added.
On the concluding day, prizes were distributed among students who took keen interest in science conference.
On this occasion, Gulam Ahmed Malik, BMO Surankote, Tariq Ahrif, president, Unemployed Youth and staff of Sir Syeed Memorial Convent School were also present.
