JAMMU, July 14: In connection with Sharika Jayanti, a grand religious function was organized at Shri Shri Jagat Amba Sharika Chakreshwar Sanstha, at Sharika Chakreshwari Temple, Haripa-rvat, Paloura Dhoke here.
Three day long celebrations began with Abhisheka of Mata Ashtadashbuja Chakreshwari followed by special puja including Sahestranamavali, Panc-hastavi, Rajeshwari Stotra and Soundarya Lehri led an ardent devotee Jai Krishan Khar along with other members of the Sanstha besides hundreds of devotees.
A good number of saints and heads of various social and cultural organizations as well as dignitaries including Ashok Kaul general secretary (Org) BJP participated in the function and delivered sermons.
The devotees were mesmerized by the bhajans of various top singers including Kakaji Chattabali, Kuldeep Saproo and others. Prasad was served to devotees after the conclusion of the function. The abode of Mata was fully illuminated and decorated fully on the occasion.
