Joginder Singh, SSP, Samba was the chief guest on the opening ceremony. He declared the sports meet open by releasing the balloons in the sky in presence of Kulbir Handa,SDPO-Bari Brahmana, retired Col Prem Singh Dogra, retired Lt. Col. SC Bali, HK. Koul, Zonal Physical Officer, Purmandal, Gaurav Charak Principal, Anku Charak, Vice Principal, Akashdeep Raina (Incharge) and Coordinators Ajay Sharma, Sandeep Zutshi, Amita Choudhary, Nitin Jamwal & Arpreet Kour.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest while throwing light on drug abuse said that sports and games are the best medium to help youth not to derail from the mainstream and channelise their energy in the positive direction.
Earlier, Principal of the school presented welcome address,while the vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal of the institution, Anku Charak.
The main attractions of the first day were basketball, tug of war, sack race, one leg race, banana eating, matsogi-do, table tennis, short put, discuss throw, long jump and triple jump.
