3-day virtual international conference concludes at Govt PG College Rajouri

RAJOURI, July 26: Three day virtual international conference on Emerging Research Trends in Chemical Sciences (ERTCS-2020) concluded today with an impressive valedictory function at Government PG College, Rajouri.
Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, Prof Javed Musarat, was chief guest of the occasion. Dr K C Sharma (WHO International & national Awardees) Member Tech Advisory Committee Govt of India, was guest of honor. Principal of the host college, Dr Shakeel Ahmed Raina presided over the programme while Prof Diwan S Rawat from University of Delhi and Prof Swapandeep Singh Cimni from GNDU were special invitees.
In his address, Prof Javed Musarat advised to pursue upon the idea of green chemistry and collaborations of all disciplines of sciences to create novel solutions to the issues of the modern world.
Dr K C Sharma, in his message, said: ” Since all men, plants and animals are innovative scientists irrespective of their age, by virtue of their inborn instinct of `Survival and Procreation’ their ideas howsoever bizarre they may must be taken up for serious discussions.”
Earlier, Dr Shakeel Ahmed Raina presented welcome address. He emphasized that whole world is very badly stuck in the clutches of COVID-19 and everyone has focused his/her eyes on scientists. He advised the scientist to not leave any stone unturned in bringing vaccine of this dreaded disease at earliest to prevent the human lives.
The organizing secretary of the conference, Dr Nasseb Singh (Young Scientist Awardee and Research Scholar at SMVDU), compared the proceedings of the programme and also presented report of three days proceedings of the conference. More 100 presentations from across the world, made presentations in form of plenary talks, invited talks, oral and posters during six sessions of the conference. Presentations by young scientists were also adjudged for top three ranks. Associate Prof Assad Ullah Khan, Head, PG Department of Chemistry, Govt P G College Rajouri and convener of the conference also graced the occasion. Dr Atiya Syed PG Department of Chemistry, Govt PG College Rajouri and Co-Organizing secretary presented formal vote of thanks.
The conference was inaugurated on July 24 by Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu.
