Srinagar, Oct 1: Three people died in Kashmir today taking the number of deaths in Jammu and Kashmir to 1199 while 401 people tested positive in the Valley taking the number of positive cases in J&K to 76163.
The fatalities include two from Budgam and one from Anantnag.
With these deaths 1199 people have died due to infection in Jammu and Kashmir so far with 844 from the Valley.
Srinagar district with 292 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 124, Budgam 84, Pulwama 69, Kupwara 67, Anantnag 66, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 37, Shopian 32 and Ganderbal 29.
Kashmir reported 401 fresh Coronavirus cases taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 76163.
Srinagar reported 164, Budgam 54, Baramulla 39, Pulwama 25, Anantnag 16, Bandipora 34, Kupwara 27, Ganderbal 27, Kulgam 13 and Shopian 2 cases.
Srinagar has 15046 positive cases with 2058 active positive, 12696 recovered, 292 deaths; Baramulla has 4427 positive cases with 1332 active, 2971 recovered, 124 deaths; Pulwama reported 3967 positive cases with 410 active cases, 3488 recovered, 69 deaths; Kulgam has 2279 positive cases with 114 active, 2122 recoveries, 43 deaths; Shopian has 2029 positive cases with 157 active, 1840 recovered, 32 deaths; Anantnag district has 3535 positive cases with 426 active, 3043 recovered, 66 deaths; Budgam has 4925 positive cases with 871 active and 3970 recovered, 84 deaths; Kupwara has 3640 positive cases with 741 active, 2832 recovered, 67 deaths; Bandipora has 3434 positive cases with 428 active Positive, 2969 recovered, 37 deaths and Ganderbal has 2918 positive cases with 326 active cases, 2563 recoveries and 29 deaths.
Further, 609 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals of Kashmir.
Out of 76163 positive cases, 16, 413 are active, 58552 have recovered and 1198 have died including 843 in Kashmir division.
So far 1643722 samples were processed out of which 1567559 tested negative and 76163 positive.
