BHADERWAH, Feb 12: Three officials of the Forest Department have been placed under suspension for dereliction of duties.
As per official spokesperson, on receiving a complaint of local damage in Neeru Forest Range of Bhaderwah Forest Division, DFO TB Singh constituted a team of officials headed by RO Neeru Range MS Jamwal and staff of Forest Control Room for conducting thorough checking of forest.
After conducting checking, the team submitted report to DFO in which some illegal damages were reported and no cognizance was taken by the concerned field staff.
Taking serious note of dereliction of duty and sheer negligence by the concerned field staff, DFO Bhadarwah TB Singh placed Incharge Block Forester Puneja-I Bodh Raj, Beat guard Gulzar Ahmed and Farooq Ahmed Bhat under suspension.
The trio officials have been attached with the Range Office Neeru and RO Neeru has been directed to maintain daily register of the suspended officials and complete the inquiry within 15 days and submit report to DFO for further course of action.
DFO has further said that no leniency will be shown towards delinquent staff and stern action will be taken if damage is detected any where in the Division.
