3 injured as truck rolls down along NH

RAMBAN, June 22: Three persons were injured when the truck they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Nowgam area along Jammu-Srinagar National highway.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02AT-1539 was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu when the driver lost control over the wheels and the truck plunged into gorge near Nowgam area of tehsil Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National highway, resulting into injuries to three persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal and later referred to GMC Anantnag for advanced treatment.
The injured were identified as Abdul Razak (driver), son of Abdul Majeed, a resident of Kotranka District Rajouri, Shaid, son of Abdul Rashid and Amjad Ali, son of Sher Ali, both residents of Bantalab District Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
